*** Trip now updated to include Ocean Diver options and an evening social event to celebrate the club’s anniversary***

Join us on a Swanage neap weekend trip to celebrate 50 years of Dacorum Scuba.

A variety of diving is planned for Saturday 29 & Sunday 30 June, with a social event out on the Saturday night.

Combining a mix of Ocean Diver plus deeper dives for Sport Divers, using both shuttles as well as a full charter out of Swanage Pier.

For Ocean Divers: Diving under Swanage Pier (one of the most popular dive locations in the UK for underwater photography!).

Shuttles (either with Swanage Boat Charters or Divers Down) to either the Fleur (13m) or Valentine Tanks (15m). Drift dives will also be considered if there is interest.

High Water is in the afternoon suggesting shuttle trips more likely in the morning if people prefer a pier dive in the afternoon.

For Sport Divers we have dives at max depth 30m on a charter: A civilized ropes off on Saturday morning, and on Sunday a drift so we don’t finish too late and can get home at a decent time.

Saturday 29 June
10:10 = LW Kyarra (30m)
15:50 = HW Betsy Anna (25m) The Betsy Anna is relatively far out so using the HW slack should give us better visibility on the wreck.

Sunday 30 June
11:15 = LW Carentan (30m)
14:30 = non-slack Local Drift – TBC (see below)

Location of wrecks can be seen on the interactive map

For the drift, the tide will be flooding so dive sites available are Peveril Ledges, Scallop drift, Swanage Bay drift, Old Mussel Beds drift, St Aldhelm’s Head drift or Tanville Ledges. The final site will be decided later and may also be open to Ocean Divers depending on experience and available buddy pairs.

Prices per person likely to be around £35 (one Pier dive & either Fleur or Valentine tanks) or for Sport Divers £80 per day (2 dives).

We’re planning dinner on the Saturday night somewhere local with food, drink and space to socialise. You are welcome to join for dinner even if not diving as we want to ensure all can enjoy this social weekend.
