Splash In at Thursday Pool Sessions

Waves Shape

There was a good turnout for the snorkelling session on Thursday 6 June. Next time why not get involved?

When not training or kit testing, club members are encouraged to practice their snorkelling skills at a Thursday pool session.  Snorkelling is a useful skill in its own right and has a range of wider benefits for scuba divers. Practising breath-holding dives to the bottom of the deep pool, will in time lead to better air consumption. Practising finning without the drag of scuba kit helps to perfect your technique.

“It is great to be able to pop in the pool and practice different skills,” said club member Andrew.  “We were having a light-hearted competition between us and I don’t think I’ve had so much fun in the pool for ages.”

The club hosts pool sessions on the first and third Thursdays of the month, complementing its active scuba diving schedule. Pool sessions are included in your membership, no extra charges.

See our pool session dates on the club’s Google Calendar (called DSAC calendar).
