Following an incident at a BSAC club and the resulting review of insurance provided by BSAC, Dacorum Scuba has completed a risk assessment for ongoing use of the club compressor and identified a series of measures to ensure that the compressor is only used by competent persons.
As part of this review, the committee has agreed that refresher training should be completed regularly by all members wishing to use the compressor.
Compressor officer Bob will be offering sessions over the next few weeks, and after the final session the compressor shed padlock codes will be changed. The new codes will be issued to those who have completed the refresher training.
Please take the time to complete the refresher training if you wish to continue to use the compressor.
Training sessions for up to four people (with a minimum of two) will take place on Sunday mornings between 10am and midday on six dates in February and March. The sessions should not take more than 40 mins, so three sessions are planned per Sunday.
The dates for training are 9, 16, 23 February and 2, 9 and 16 March.
Members are asked to email club secretary Graham H with their preferred dates/times by Friday 31 January.

Graham will add you to the schedule, and confirm that there are sufficient numbers to run the training on your preferred date. If you are unavailable on all of these please contact Graham as soon as possible.
