The End of Season 2022/New Season 2023 Dive Planning meeting for Dacorum Scuba was held at the Hemel Hempstead Cricket Club on Thursday 28 July.
Approximately 20 members attended and were briefed on the format of the evening session by Diving Officer Kevin. He then laid out some flipchart paper and pens to capture ideas from members for a variety of dive trips to end the 2022 season, as well as carry us into 2023 (and for those harder-to-book trips, into 2024).
Sites proposed ranged from the usual suspects of Swanage and RIB trips to the south coast, to longer trips to Eyemouth and the Red Sea/Oman as well as the Galapagos; and the whole gamut of possibilities was covered from Ocean Diver upwards through to technical depths. Armed with neap tide information, possibilities were narrowed down and boats/specifics were discussed, then members volunteered to start looking at availability and organising the trips.
It proved to be a popular evening down at the club, fostering much lively discussion and hopefully soon resulting in a rich set of planned dive trips for the foreseeable future.
