Dacorum Scuba members were packed to the rafters in the cosy upstairs bar at the Hemel Hempstead Town Cricket Club on Thursday 26 September 2024 for the club’s annual photo competition, showcasing pictures taken by members over the course of the previous year. We saw many old and new faces and it was great to see so many not only taking part in the competition but attending to vote on the night. The upstairs bar was open for business, which was much appreciated.
A total of 34 submissions for the competition were received over five categories: UK (Underwater), Abroad (Underwater), Above Water (on dive trip or club activity), Club (showcasing club life) and for 2024 a new category of Open (anything goes) which had been requested the previous year.

Shown as anonymous prints on a display stand (thanks to Rob & Graham for setting up), as well as on screen, members then got a chance to vote for their favourite in each category and an overall favourite for the competition.
Alex & Hefin duly totted up the scores and announced the winners to applause and a quick explanation by each photographer of the picture.
Massive thanks to all who submitted entries, helped on the night or came to take part and cast their votes.
