Dacorum Scuba will start the next Ocean Diver training course with a registration evening on Thursday 25 May.
After a series of try dives at the end of 2022 showed prospective divers the possibilities of scuba diving, the club reviewed and updated its scuba equipment in readiness for the appearance of warmer weather to make the most of the Ocean Diver course. That time has arrived, and the instructor team is now ready to provide new trainees with an excellent opportunity to learn how to dive in a safe, supportive, friendly and encouraging environment.
With members of the club providing poolside and other support, Training Officer Lindsey has encouraged Ocean Diver training to be seen as a whole-club activity. This enables our new trainees to meet and get to know all the members of our club and see how our club works, and showcases the wide range of skills all our volunteers bring to the club.
Club members, as always we will need your help with a wide range of activities to support the training. From checking trainees in, to helping get kit ready in the equipment area and providing poolside support to trainees and instructors and much more, there are many activities to help with.
We appreciate your support in helping introduce our new members to the wonderful world of scuba diving, so do come down to say hello and provide whatever help you can.
Thanks to all volunteers and everyone who is able to provide support; please contact Lindsey if you’re able to assist in any way.
